Family Music for Babies
Ages: Birth to 18 months with caregiver
This intimate class bonds the child and parent/caregiver. It introduces playful musical activities such as bouncing and rocking songs, wiggle and peek-a-boo games, singing, dancing, and moving. The teacher plays the role of coach as parents learn ways to play musically with their babies in arms. You will find that this class nurtures a bond of love and security, increases child’s curiosity about music, develops child’s listening skills and sense of flow and beat through movement and provides a model for both parent/caregiver and child. Registration includes bag of instruments, CD and parent book.

Music for Families (0-4 years with caregiver)
The mixed age curriculum is perfect for family music making. Activities and song material encourage older children as they are developing language skills and challenge them to use their imaginations in new ways. The rhymes and songs are just as appealing to the younger children in the room, whether it is a toddler enjoying the movement and instrumental play or the infant who is simply enjoying the sound of the music and the rhythm of the words as s/he bonds with his/her caregiver. Music making permeates family life when presented in the mixed age setting. Registration includes CD, parent book and an instrument.
